YCS Magnet Schools

Ypsilanti Community Schools continues transforming education and fostering innovation by offering specialized learning experiences centered around S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics) education and the globally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum at its four Magnet Schools.

Ford STEAM Early Learning Center: Catering to the youngest learners, Ford ELC offers a nurturing environment where children can explore the foundations of STEAM education through hands-on learning experiences, setting the stage for future academic success.

Holmes STEAM Elementary School: Building upon the success of Ford Early Learning Center, Holmes Elementary continues the STEAM-focused journey, providing elementary students with engaging and interactive learning opportunities that ignite curiosity and foster a love for exploration and discovery.

Ypsilanti Community Middle School: Serving as a bridge between elementary and high school, YCMS offers a comprehensive STEAM and IB program tailored to the unique needs of adolescent learners, preparing them for the challenges of secondary education and beyond.

Ypsilanti Community High School: As the pinnacle of the YCS Magnet School system, YCHS offers the rigorous IB curriculum as well as its current college preparatory, Career Technical Education (CTE) and STEMM Middle College course offerings, empowering students as they prepare for college and career pathways.
