New Grizzly Chatbot

As part of our ongoing commitment to stay connected to our families, we are excited to introduce the Grizzly Chatbot, a two-way messaging tool. This innovative addition to our communication channels is available 24/7 to assist families with frequently asked questions about our district and schools.

The Grizzly Chatbot features:

  •  Instant Responses: Families can receive real-time answers within seconds.
  •  Multilingual Support: Assistance in over 100 languages, broadening our reach to
  • non-English-speaking families.
  •  Flexible Accessibility: The opportunity for families to access resources before and after school hours, offering convenience and flexibility.
  •  SMS-based Operation: The system operates via text messaging, eliminating needing a smartphone or additional apps.

On March 13th, families rostered in PowerSchool will receive an introductory message from the Grizzly Chatbot. The message will say, “Hi! I’m Grizzly, Ypsilanti Community Schools' chatbot, here24/7 to help with any questions you might have. Need any support? Send me a text for help!” Families can text questions to the Grizzly Chatbot, and the chatbot will respond with answers. If it is unable to answer a question, it will seek support from a live person at the AllHere call center. The Grizzly Chatbot, powered by artificial intelligence, is designed to streamline routine communications. It is meant to enrich and not replace the current communication methods used in our schools.
