  • CPI/NVCI Training About CPI  NOTE:  I have communicated our interest in the training.  I will let you know if there will be an opportunity this year.

    • The District has recognized the need for offering Crisis Prevention Institute/Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training for staff and is looking into the opportunity to provide this training.

The District would like to assess the interest and need for this training.  If you are interested in receiving training, or if you need a refresher course (training from last year expires soon) please indicate HERE.

  • Window Coverage

    • A friendly reminder that Michigan law states classroom windows cannot be covered more than 20%.  I recognize that this poses a problem with following our lockdown procedures. If you need assistance with a system to cover your classroom door window when necessary, please let me know.  Another resource may be your colleagues, as many classrooms already have systems where they can easily cover their windows when required. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  • Summer Maintenance Work at Holmes

    • In preparation for the heating and cooling work scheduled this summer, all classrooms will have to have the floors cleared, as is standard, but additionally, the area where your heating and cooling units are located must be cleared as well.

We will not be able to stack boxes in this area, or on top of the heating and cooling units and connected shelving.  More information will be forthcoming detailing this process, but I wanted to make you aware of this information. Early preparation for packing rooms is strongly encouraged.
