General Education Dual Enrollment

Ypsilanti Community High School offers students a valuable head start on college through dual enrollment at Washtenaw Community College. This program enables students to earn college credits during high school at no cost, with access to enhanced resources and academic support.

Students even have the opportunity to complete an associate degree before graduating high school. This experience allows them to explore a variety of career paths while simultaneously building a strong foundation for a four-year college degree.

D3C3 Trades-Based Dual Enrollment Opportunities

The D3C3 program is a unique opportunity for students at Ypsilanti Community High School to get a head start on their careers by dual enrolling at Washtenaw Community College in a specialized certificate program. Through D3C3, students can earn industry-recognized certifications in high-demand fields such as Welding, Automotive Cyber Security, Robotics, Auto Body Repair, Automotive Service Technician, and Computer Systems Technology—all while still in high school. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are equipped with the skills and credentials needed to enter the workforce immediately, with the potential to earn up to $50,000 per year right after high school graduation. This program empowers students to build a strong foundation for their futures, combining academic achievement with hands-on, career-focused training.
