Dear Families,
We are challenging every Kindergarten and 1st Grade student at Ford STEAM Early Learning Center to reach their individual reading goals by tracking their time on the Beanstack platform! Every minute your child reads counts toward amazing prizes and helps us reach our school-wide goal. Our goal for each student is to log 6,000 minutes by the end of the school year.
Please help your student log their reading minutes regularly—whether they are reading independently, reading with you, or listening to a book. They currently have a chance to earn prizes at the end of every month through our monthly reading challenges. Below are our checkpoints of encouragement throughout the school year. After each checkpoint, they will receive a prize and have their picture posted on the window of the Media Center to show our pride in their participation.

How to Help:
- Log It: Make sure all reading time is logged in the Beanstack system.
- Encourage: Create a dedicated reading time at home each day.
- Celebrate: Cheer on your student as they hit each milestone!
