IB Diploma Programme (DP)

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is designed for students in the final two years of secondary school who seek a rigorous and well-rounded academic education. It provides a strong foundation for further study and prepares students for success in university and beyond. The DP enables students to:

• develop critical thinking and research skills
• engage in learning connected to real-world contexts
• communicate effectively in a variety of situations
• work independently and collaboratively
• consider multiple perspectives
• develop self-confidence, resilience, and strong self-management skills

Ypsilanti ACTech High School is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.  *Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP).
