Cosmetology
The YCHS Cosmetology Program is a hands-on Career & Technical Education pathway designed for students interested in turning creativity, technical skill, and a passion for beauty into a professional career. Students gain practical experience in cosmetology while developing the professionalism, customer service, safety practices, and business skills needed to succeed in the beauty industry.
Through classroom instruction and hands-on practice, students build experience with hair care, cutting, styling, coloring, natural and textured hair, nail care, skincare, sanitation, client services, and salon operations. Students also explore the business side of the industry, including entrepreneurship, personal branding, client relationships, and career development.
