Welcome to the Perry Early Learning Center Library!
I am so excited to have you check out our webpage! If you're looking for a good book to read or a cozy corner to get lost in a story, I'm here to help.
What’s Happening in the Library?
Our library is a busy hub designed to spark curiosity. Here is what students can look forward to:
Classroom Visits: Each Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade classroom are scheduled for weekly visits to the library for stories, read-alouds and activities.
Book Nook Vending Machine: Students earn tokens to receive free books from the Book Vending Machine to build their own personal libraries at home.
Early Literacy Skill Development:
Tech Tools: Learning how to use computers and tablets safely and smartly.
Library Basics
To help things run smoothly, here is a quick guide to how our library works for different grade levels:
| Grade Level | Book Limit | Loan Period |
| Kindergarten | 1 Book | 1 Week (Returned on Library Day) |
| 1st Grade | 1 Book | 1 Week |
Pro Tip: Life happens! If a book gets a little "extra love" (like a spilled juice box or a puppy snack), please don't try to fix it at home with tape. Just bring it back to the library and tell us—we have a "book hospital" with special tools to help!
A Note to Parents & Guardians
How you can help:
Read together: Even 10 minutes a day makes a huge difference.
Ask questions: "What was the best part of the story?" or "What do you think happens next?"
Volunteer: We love having parents help with shelving or during our annual Book Fair!
The Next Step
We can’t wait to see which stories our students choose first. If you have a specific topic your child is obsessed with—from dinosaurs to Minecraft to baking—let us know so we can point them toward the perfect shelf.
