Inovation Lab

The ACCE Innovation Lab is a creative learning space where scholars design, investigate, and communicate solutions to real-world challenges. The lab features a podcast room, digital video camera, digital camera, teleprompter, sewing machines, and materials for outdoor learning, allowing students to explore media production, design, and hands-on problem solving. Scholars also work on STEM projects related to clean water solutions, aerodynamics, and electric vehicle technology, applying engineering and environmental science concepts. The Innovation Lab supports project-based, place-based, and problem-based learning, encouraging students to research community issues and develop innovative solutions connected to Ypsilanti and the broader world. Through collaboration and creativity, scholars strengthen their skills as Curious Inquirers, Creative Innovators, and Future-Ready Designers while preparing for college, careers, and leadership.
