The Ypsilanti Community High School Athletic Department has been named one of the Top 50+ Athletic Departments of the Year for Innovation, a distinction that recognizes programs demonstrating exceptional leadership and forward-thinking approaches in supporting student-athletes.

This honor highlights the dedication and collaborative efforts of coaches, staff, and student-athletes, along with the ongoing support of the district. It reflects a shared commitment to growth and excellence, as the department continues to expand opportunities and create meaningful experiences for students both on and off the field.

Join us for a fun-filled morning of egg hunts, games, inflatables, music, prizes, and more! This free community event, hosted by Ypsilanti Community Schools and local partners, welcomes children ages 2–11 and families for a joyful spring celebration.

Ypsilanti Community Schools is excited to welcome families to our 2026–27 Kindergarten Registration Open Houses! These sessions are designed to help parents and caregivers learn more about our kindergarten programs, meet staff, ask questions, and complete the registration process with confidence. 

Families may attend any one session—all sessions offer the same information.

YCS has five Kindergarten school programs - Kindergarten Registration and Eligibility flyers for each school.

• Ford STEAM Early Learning Center (PreK-1)
• Perry Early Learning Center (PreK-1)
• Ypsilanti Puentes Multilingual School (K-4th)  |  Ypsilanti Puentes Multilingual School (K-4th - Spanish)
