Ypsi schools’ Resiliency Center expands significantly over five years serving families in need. Since 2020, Ypsilanti Community Schools’ Resiliency Center has been quietly serving hundreds of families who are experiencing housing insecurity and other challenges.

Mark your calendars! The 9th Annual YCS Back to School Bash is happening this Saturday, August 2nd, from 12 to 3 PM at Prospect Park in Ypsilanti!
This free, family-friendly event is our way of celebrating the start of a new school year with our amazing YCS community.
Location: West Willow Park II 2099 Tyler Rd.
Time: 3-6 PM
Free BBQ Dinner
Our summer events continue tomorrow, Friday, July 18, at Recreation Park (4–6 p.m.) with Reading in the Park, followed by swimming at Rutherford Pool (6–8 p.m.), in partnership with Rutherford Pool, Ypsilanti District Library, Michigan Learning Channel (PBS), and Our Community Reads.
Students will enjoy a hamburger or hot dog dinner provided by Meet Up & Eat Up, and then receive a ticket to enter the pool.
Please note: A parent or legal guardian must remain onsite and actively monitor their child at the pool.
This is a free event, and we can’t wait to see you there!

YCS Shadford Field Football Stadium
Enjoy an evening of jazz with vocalist Athena Johnson, food vendors, and community booths. Kids will enjoy free snacks throughout the evening!
