Meet Up & Eat Up Summer Program!

Ypsilanti Community Schools is pleased to participate in the Summer Food Service Program. Free meals are available to all children 18 years of age and younger, and to eligible individuals up to age 26 enrolled in approved educational programs for persons with disabilities.

Ypsilanti, MI – Ypsilanti Community Schools (YCS) has partnered with Digital Promise to announce its participation in the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program. This represents a major leap forward in the district’s commitment to digital equity and academic excellence by securing essential tools, including high-speed internet access, individual devices and dedicated instructional support, to ensure students are leaders in the modern digital economy.

YIES students help plant trees for Arbor Day

Students from Ypsilanti International Elementary School rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty. They took part in tree planting activities next door at Prospect Park.

As students gathered around, representatives from Guardian Tree Experts demonstrated the proper way to plant and care for young saplings.

School Media Specialist Jeffrey Klein shared that the experience was a meaningful opportunity for students to engage in hands-on learning.
