SPORTS TRYOUT AND SIGN UP INFORMATION
Basketball, Wrestling, and Cheer tryouts/sign ups are happening now!
Basketball: Ypsilanti Community Middle School boys basketball sign-up sheet. Sign-up dates are October 15–21. Tryouts are October 26 at 2:45 PM in the gym. Open to students in grades 6–8. A physical must be submitted to the athletic director before tryouts. Contact Mr. Naeem in the media center or email jnaeem8@ycschools.us.
Wrestling: Ypsilanti Community Middle School wrestling sign-up flyer. Sign-ups start October 15. Open to boys and girls in grades 6–8, all skill levels welcome. Sign up with Coach Carter by emailing Cgcarter734@yahoo.com.
Cheer: Ypsilanti Community Middle School cheer tryouts flyer. Tryouts are October 26–28, from 2:30–4:15. Requirements include an MHSAA physical, athletic clothes and shoes, and academic grades and behavior checks.

Wrestling Sign-Up — Now Open (Please get your scholar a athletic physical to participate.)
Wrestling registration began October 15 and is open to boys and girls in grades 6–8. Please contact Coach Carter at Cgcarter734@yahoo.com to sign up.
Boys Basketball Tryouts — Monday, October 26 | 2:45 p.m.
Scholars must have an athletic physical to participate in tryouts. Please take care of this requirement as soon as possible. Scholars should see Mr. Naeem to sign up.

Ypsilanti Community Middle School (YCMS) Halloween Party
The party is Thursday, October 29, from 9:00–10:30 a.m.
Dance and party admission is $3, with free admission for Honor Roll students.
The haunted house costs $2 per visit. Snacks will be available for purchase.
Costumes are permitted but must be school-appropriate, with no face masks or props.
Fall Break Friday 10/30-Tuesday 11/3
School resumes on Wednesday 11/4
YCMS Family STEM & Math Night
Thursday, November 5, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at Ypsilanti Community Middle School.
Families are invited to participate in hands-on STEM and math activities, explore new ideas, solve problems together, build and create, and develop real-world math skills.
