About ACCE

Achieving College and Career Education (ACCE) High School is a small learning community in Ypsilanti Community Schools serving scholars in grades 9–12. ACCE provides a supportive and personalized learning environment designed to help students stay on track for graduation while preparing for college, careers, and leadership.

Students engage in project-based, place-based, and problem-based learning that connects classroom instruction to real-world challenges in the Ypsilanti community. ACCE offers innovative learning opportunities through spaces such as the Maker Space and Innovation Lab, where scholars use tools including 3D printers, drones, digital media equipment, and design technology to explore engineering, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Students also explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to support research, design, and responsible technology use. Guided by ACCE’s Portrait of a Graduate, scholars develop skills as Creative Innovators, Adaptive Collaborators, and Future-Ready Designers, ensuring they are empowered to learn and inspired to lead.
