TAR Grant Press Release - Puentes

TAR Grant - Puentes

Ypsilanti Puentes Multilingual School is excited to share that they have been awarded the Nana’s Books Foundation Award! Puentes was chosen for this award to support students with the joy of reading; building a legacy of love for literacy. Nana’s Books was created to honor lifelong Librarian Nancy Dulniak who experienced Alzheimer’s later in life. Awarded schools now receive grade-appropriate books and resources about not only Alzheimer’s but other disabilities. The books Puentes will receive will be in both Spanish and English. Over the past four years, Nana’s Books has distributed over 20,000 books to more than 9,300 students in 24 schools in over 11 states and DC.

Puentes is honored to be the proud 2026 recipient of this unique and meaningful award. Puentes students are excited to add these special titles to their school and classroom libraries!
