Hello! My name is Zack Chutz and I am the proud principal of Holmes STEAM Elementary School! I grew up in the suburbs of Metro-Detroit and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan - Dearborn. In 2012, I joined Teach For America, moved to rural North Carolina, and began serving as a high school Math and Physics. My driver as a public school educator has always been to provide the best educational opportunities to all students. After teaching for five years, I earned admittance to the Principal Preparation for Equity and Excellence in Rural Schools program through the University of North Carolina - Greensboro and became a K12 school administrator.

My wife and three children and I returned to Michigan in 2023 to be closer to our extended family and in the process, I was afforded the awesome opportunity to be the principal here at Holmes STEAM Elementary School. I have been at Holmes since the 2023-2024 school year and look forward to the years ahead.
