Assistant Director of Early Childhood Programs
Ginelle Skinner grew up in Northern Michigan and comes to us with over 26 years of experience in the Early Childhood Field of Education. She began her career with an Elementary Education Degree but ended up spending her entire career so far with children birth to 5 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in 2011 in Early Childhood. She has worked as a Child Care Center Director, an Early Childhood Trainer, a Preschool Teacher, a High Scope Field Consultant and an ISD Early Childhood Administrator. She has traveled to many different states to train Early Childhood staff in the fundamentals of Early Education on topics such as Conflict Resolution, Positive Adult-Child Interactions, Effective Small Group Times, and much more. She has also led Parent Events and Trainings as well as planned and organized community family events in Hillsdale and Jackson Counties. She has worked on committees at the State level to try to bring about positive changes for young children and their families. She is currently the Assistant Director of Early Childhood and the Principal of Beatty Early Learning Center for Ypsilanti Community Schools.
She resides in Jackson, MI with her three daughters where she enjoys spending time at school sporting events cheering her youngest daughter on from the sidelines. Her two oldest daughters are now Grand Valley State University students.
