Mr. Schunck graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and General Science. He graduated from the University of Michigan Dearborn in 2014 with a Master of Arts in Education and a focus on English as a Second Language. Mr. Schunck has spent the past 14 years teaching math, science, and engineering courses and loves investing in his own community of Ypsilanti.

Mr. Booker comes to us with a background in Manufacturing (cabinet material handling & RV building and warranty/customer service), and has been a school counselor since 2003. He moved from New Mexico to Michigan in 2018. He also is a school counselor for all ESL and Special Education students in the building, including ACTech students. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his 4 grandchildren and with various church activities.

Mr. Mayres is entering his 1st year of teaching manufacturing science and engineering. Mr. Mayers earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Michigan with a major in chemistry and his master’s degree from The University of Michigan in Educational Studies. During both stints at Michigan, Mr. Mayers was deeply involved with research and his research specialties include analytical chemistry, mass spectroscopy, chemistry education and culturally relevant pedagogy.
Prior to joining the Middle College, Mr. Mayers spent 5 years working in private chemical engineering industry before starting student teaching at Scarlett Middle School, Wayne Memorial High School and Pioneer High School. In his spare time, Mr. Mayers enjoys bodybuilding, Magic: The Gathering and attending cultural events related to Korean culture and identity.

Mr. Hollenbeck graduated from Western Michigan University with a major in Secondary Education – Mathematics and minors in Physical Education and Coaching. While earning his degree, Mr. Hollenbeck assisted basketball programs for Kalamazoo College, Western Michigan University, and Indiana University (but deep down he will always be a Spartan, at heart).
Tim is entering his first year teaching in the Middle College. Prior to joining the Ypsilanti Community, Mr. Hollenbeck taught math in Kalamazoo, MI for four years. While at Kalamazoo Phoenix High School, Hollenbeck also coached basketball for two years (winning one district championship) and directed two after-school, academic support programs: “Assistance for Athletes Program (ASAP)” and “Math FUNdamentals” with the Kalamazoo Eastside Neighborhood Association.
Growing up in East Lansing, he attended high school, playing basketball, soccer, baseball and tennis. Aside from sports and teaching, Mr. Hollenbeck also enjoys games-of-strategy, time with family and friends, and preparing for his wedding this summer!

Mrs. Kreuzer graduated from the University of Michigan College of Engineering in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Material Science Engineering. She worked as a metallurgist and technical services manager at Worthington Industries for 7 years. Mrs. Kreuzer returned to the University of Michigan and graduated in 2015 with a Masters Degree in Educational Studies with an emphasis on Secondary Mathematics. She has been a math teacher at Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College since 2015. Away from school, Mrs. Kreuzer enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.

Mrs. Yager graduated from the University of Michigan in 2009 with a BA in English Literature and Communication Studies. She soon realized her passion for teaching and went back to the University of Michigan to obtain her Master’s Degree in Educational Studies with Secondary Certifications in English and Math. She began her teaching career at a project-based charter high school in Novi and taught both English and Math for five and a half years before becoming a Grizzly in January 2019. She now teaches Geometry and Pre-Calculus to students in the Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College.

Mrs. Berryman graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in English and Speech. She has also obtained continuing education credits from Wayne State University. Mrs. Berryman is in her 11th year of teaching including 1 year spent teaching Speech and Debate. This is Mrs. Berryman’s 4th year as a Grizzly!

Ms. Reinhard graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in with a major in Hispanic Studies, Psychology, and Behavioral Science. Her continuing education Masters credits were obtained through Wayne State University along with continuing education at Mary Grove College. This is Ms. Reinhard 16th year of teaching. This is her second year joining us at Ypsilanti Community Schools and her first year being a part of the STEMM program. In her time away from YCS she enjoys cooking, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her son.

Before moving to Michigan, Mr. Cassetta taught five years in California, where he earned a B.A. in History. He has taught social studies in the Ypsilanti area since 2011, and when he's not at school, you can find him spending time with his two young boys, reading, watching movies, or spending time out in nature biking, hiking, and/or camping.

Ms. Weaver graduated from the University of Michigan (Forever, GO BLUE!) in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies. She later received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Wayne State University and is now working on her Education Specialist Degree from Eastern Michigan University. She has taught in Detroit for the past 7 years, but is very excited to begin a new journey as a Grizzly! Ms. Weaver is a big traveler and has been to 49 of the 50 states. She hopes to one day visit all 7 continents, including Antarctica! When not at school, you can find Ms. Weaver watching football, on a plane, or spending some quality time with friends and family.
