The Ypsilanti Community High School Choir is comprised of 75 students grades 9-12. The choir performs all genres of music. They are a concert, jazz, festival, gospel, and show choir all rolled up into one. They received a first place trophy in the category of Show Choir in the Festivals of Music, Washington DC competition in April 2018. They will be performing at the CODA Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City in March 2019. The choir will be very busy with engagements at Eastern Michigan University Gospel Fest, Beau Monde Dance Company at Riverside Arts Center and in concert with the local band, Impulse. The choir also performs community service with concerts for senior citizens at Cross Street Village and the Washtenaw County Foster Grandparents Luncheon. The choir annually presents a December Concert, Spring Concert and a show with the middle school choirs. The choir is also featured in the school's Black History production.
