As a graduate from both Eastern Michigan University and Willow Run High School, Mrs. Edwards is a proud member of the Ypsilanti community. She holds a Bachelor of Science from EMU in Mathematics for Secondary Education, with a minor in Communications and Theatre Arts. This is her third year teaching in the district but her first year in the STEMM academy. She teaches math and television productions classes and is on the Student Council and Senior Cabinet committees. She has also been part of the YCS secondary math curriculum leadership team since 2013. Mrs. Edwards is dedicated to her students and you will often see her after school tutoring, attending athletic events or school functions, and helping out with various programs. When she is not spending time at school, she enjoys reading, playing guitar, watching Michigan football, and snowboarding in the winter.

Ms. Kreuzer graduated from the University of Michigan College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Material Science Engineering. Worked as a metallurgist and technical services manager at Worthington Industries for 7 years. Graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Educational Studies with an emphasis on Secondary Mathematics.

Scott Kelley comes to Ypsilanti Community Schools Stemm program with BS in Public Relations/Communications from Grand Valley State University, and also a BS in Social Science Education from Western Governors University. Mr, Kelley worked for the Plymouth Whalers and Detroit Ignition sports teams, and also held the title of Sports Editor before returning to school to earn his second degree in Social Sciences. Mr. Kelley teaches Yearbook and all Social Studies classes for ACTech. Outside the classroom he is an MHSAA official in five sports as well as a high school softball coach.

Janice Payeur is a proud product of Ypsilanti Public Schools class of 1979 and an employee of Ypsilanti High School since 1986. She holds a B.A. in English and French and an M.A. in Secondary Education. Additionally, she is certified to teach Advanced Placement courses in English Literature, Language and Writing. Over the years she has taught every level of English from 7th through 12th grade. Her points of pride continue to be the students who have grown into professionals themselves - including some of our teachers. Together with students she has overseen the yearbook, student newspapers, trips to see Shakespearean drama in Stratford, Ontario, numerous hair and makeup stints for fall and spring plays and many more activities. She often donates her time to tutoring and loves to teach crafts.
World Language Staff:
Anisa Seitllari comes to Ypsilanti Community Schools Stemm program with a MA in Teaching English as a Foreign language from EMU and a BA in Language Arts from Wayne State University. Ms. Seitllari has worked at Martin Luther King high school in Detroit as a Spanish Teacher for six years. Last year she worked at Estabrook Elementary as a Spanish teacher and ESL facilitator, and at Stemm Academy as a Spanish teacher. This year Ms. Seitllari is teaching Latin American Culture as well as Spanish 1 and 2.

Mr. Heister grew up in Flint, Michigan - graduated with a BS in Biology / Minor in Physics from the University of Michigan, Flint in 1990. He received a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching from Marygrove College in Detroit in 2002. In1999 he was named the Michigan Science Teacher’s Association High School Science Teacher of the Year, and has been honored as Teacher of the Year by The University of Michigan Chapter of Sigma Xi (2012), Detroit Mercy (1997 & 1998) and Lawrence Technological University (2012). He has taught in the Ypsilanti community for the past 25 years, has coached many teams, including golf, hockey, and soccer, and has been the Lead Mentor for the Award Winning FIRST Robotics Program since 2004. He also runs the Science Club, which has taken hundreds of students on wilderness adventures since 1995. Scott has also worked extensively with the Winter Guard program at Ypsilanti, running the program from 1998-2004 & 2014-15. He was inducted into the Michigan Color Guard Circuit Hall of Fame in 1996.
Mr. Heister was recently named the Yankee Air Museum 2015 STEM Excellence Award Winner. He is also being honored by the Mentor2Youth Program at their "The Magnificent Seven: An Honorary Gala" at EMU for the impacts he has had on the youth in the Ypsilanti Area. He continues to donate his time and efforts to the Ypsilanti Community.

This is Mrs Fontaine's tenth year teaching. Prior to teaching science in STEMM Middle College, she taught Chemistry, AP Chemistry and Biology for Ypsilanti Public Schools. She has a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education Biology & Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University and a Masters Degree in Science Education with a focus on Environmental Education from the University of Michigan--Dearborn. Outside of school, Mrs Fontaine enjoys spending time with her husband and 1-year-old son.

Chris is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, as well as a M.A. in School Counseling with a Counseling Interventions in a Multicultural Society Certificate. With 8 years of experience as both a middle school and a high school counselor Mr. Donoghue brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to the school. With a focus on helping students succeed academically, personally, and socially Mr. Donoghue maintains high expectations for all students. Volunteer work is important to Mr. Donoghue and he frequently can be found in your community volunteering at Therapeutic Riding and other local opportunities. Mr. Donoghue also coaches Varsity Girls Soccer at Ypsilanti Community High School as well as assists students in finding opportunities to work and volunteer in the community.
