Thank you to all the YCS families and supporters who voted on Tuesday, November 7th! The Washtenaw County Special Education Millage Renewal passed with overwhelming support from the community.
Last week, community leaders in the local public, private and non-profit community came together at Eastern Michigan University Eagle Crest Golf Club to celebrate the new partnership with the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation to manage the YCS Mary Williams Gillenwater Legacy Fund. This fund is a scholarship opportunity for YCS students. Please see the MLive article: Ypsilanti students to benefit from new scholarship partnerships.
YCS is also excited to partner with the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources to provide in-depth opportunities for YCS students to learn about careers and soft skill development through classroom speaking panels.
